Hello to all.
The banquet was really fun! What a great turnout we had. And, the band council, under the leadership of Camille Cartwright, did a great job. The food was yummy! The slide show by Rachel Garza really capped off the evening! Thanks to all the contributed to make this year's banquet a huge success. And, I saw some interesting dancing on the dance floor....Mr. Duffy ;)

Deutchenpfest Parade, meet @ 9:45 am Railroad Ave, starts 11:00 AM
Important Points:
1. Rehearsal Monday is God of Our Fathers and Echo Never Fades in the PAC at 4:30 pm. REQUIRED.
2. Tuesday Spring Concert Performance. FREE ADMISSION. 3 concert bands, Jazz Band, Echo Never Fades, Senior Recognition. Attire is Sunday Best. This is a FUN Concert. Please come parents and bring friends.
3. Deutchenpfest parade, wear Blue Hawk Band Shirts, Khaki shorts, athletic tie shoes and socks, you may wear a hawk band hat only. We will be performing "Spanish Parade Sequence" just like the march-a-thon. Blue Hawk Band Shirts will be on sale throughout the week for $10. Bring your own khakis. This is a required performance for Hawk Band Students. Middle School students may join us if they would like to march this short parade. 8th grade parents, please email me if your child would like to march the parade with us. More info to follow later this week.
4. Section Leader Auditions. Wear Navy Blue hawk band shirt, Grey hawk band shorts, athletic tie shoes and socks. Memorize your audition music and marching. Are you prepared?
5. Band Auditions start next Monday, May 20. Are you prepared?
6. Parents, sign up to volunteer for TSSEC w/ Dayna Dinan and Tim Call.

The Hawk is planning a trip to Chicago in November 2013! We want YOU to join us! Hawk Band students will march in the McDonalds Thanksgiving Parade in the streets of downtown Chicago On Thanksgiving day. Hawk band chaparones will assist in all duties throughout and will with the band throughout the trip. Guests of the band will stay in a different hotel, but will participate in most activities throughout the trip. All 3 packages, student/chaperone/guest will be offered and presented at the NEXT booster meeting.... THIS TUESDAY, February 5th at 7 pm in the band hall. Please plan to attend. Information and fundraiser information will be available at this meeting. Parents are highly encouraged to attend. Students will receive most information during their band classes, but may attend the meeting with their parents if they want. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
